Hi @Breyasmommy
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your device is asking you to pick a printer but is displaying something unrelated (like a website) and won't print, here are some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:
1. Check Default Printer Settings
- Windows:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- Make sure your preferred printer is set as the default. You can do this by selecting the printer and clicking on Manage, then Set as Default.
- Mac:
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Select your printer and make sure it's set as the default printer.
2. Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers
- Visit the HP website to download and install the latest drivers for your printer. Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause issues.
3. Remove Unwanted Printers
- If you see other devices listed that you don’t use (like virtual printers or old devices), consider removing them to avoid confusion:
- In Printers & Scanners, select the unwanted printer and click Remove Device.
4. Restart Print Spooler
- Windows:
- Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.
- Find Print Spooler, right-click it, and select Restart.
5. Check for Multiple Print Jobs
- Sometimes, if there are multiple print jobs in the queue, it can cause issues. Go to your printer's queue and clear any stalled jobs.
6. Try Printing from Another Application
- If you’re trying to print from a specific application and it’s not working, try printing from a different application to see if the issue persists.
7. Use the HP Smart App (if applicable)
- If you have an HP printer, use the HP Smart app to manage your printer and print documents. This app can help simplify the printing process.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
