4/3/23 HP printer installation help request

Help,  I would like to open a ticket to resolve the installation of my Officejet 8015e.  I have previously been in contact via Wireless setup CRM:0087353001091, but have been lost in the meantime.

To recapitulate, I have not been able to communicated with Instant Ink because:

“Seems we could not connect the printer to Wi-Fi, since we are not using a 2.4Ghz connection (suggested network) it can be a problem with one of the following ports:

Incoming (UDP) ports : 137, 138, 161, 427

Outgoing (TCP) ports : 137, 139, 427, 9100, 9220, 9500

Web services: 80, 443, 5222, 5223 “

This is beyond my level of expertise, and as a long-time HP customer, I can only remember the days when all we had to do was put in the installation disk and setup was done.

This inability to connect with HP re: Instant Ink status has been an ongoing problem since I:

  • Changed router to a TP-link Gigabit Wi-Fi 6 router (previous router failed)
  • perhaps, coincidentally, upgraded to Win 11.
  • Perhaps, since my printer, Office Jet Pro 6830 is no longer supported,
  • perhaps because use NordVPN, which I have disabled

I have bought a second printer, Office Jet 8015e to supplement the OJPro 6830 and eliminate the printer as an issue.

I also have second computer, an HP P6830W running Win 10 To eliminate any computer issue.

I have not fully installed the Office Jet 8015e because the blue light indicating that the wireless connection has not been made. I have left this printer NOT connected to the ethernet, presumably because HP is telling me that the wireless connection should be the first.

I am willing to have a remote connection made. Thank you for your attention.
