I have two pcs connected to my printer, one wired and one wifi. The wired pc prints photos fine but when I try to print a photo with wifi I do not get a photo paper option, just plain paper or glossy paper. If I try to print it using the glossy paper option the photo come out in black and white. I have removed and reinstalled the printer a number of times but it does not solve my problem.

@Chrislew1 Here's all you need to know and do, to resolve the issue:
- First, try restarting your computer, printer and wireless router.
-
Is your printer connected to your network?
To check if your printer is connected to your network:
- Print a Wireless Network Test report from the printer control panel. On many printers pressing the Wireless button allows direct access to printing this report. Consult your manual for instructions.
- On the Wireless Network Test report check the following:
- In the Diagnostic Results "Connectivity" area, is Connected indicated as PASS?
- If not, your printer is not connected to any network at this time. Ensure your wireless router is turned on and functioning properly.
- You may need to connect your printer to your network again. Follow these instructions
- Check any messages at the top of the report that can help you correct the problem, and follow the instructions shown.
- In the "Current Configuration" area, does the "Network Name (SSID)" match your network name?
- If your printer is not connected to your network, you will need to reconnect the printer to your network. Follow these instructions

Thanks for your reply. I printed off an HP network configuration page and so far as I can tell everything is in order. There is no diagnostic results connectivity area but under General Internet shows as connected. The network name is correct.
Since I posted the query I have discovered that I can print coloured photos using HP Smart, but if I try to print from Windows Photos they still come out in black and white.

Since you are able to print in color using HP Smart App, please uninstall the printer driver from root level and download the full feature software
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer and download the full feature software Link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers and follow the onscreen instructions
Thank you
