I just installed my HP printer and enrolled in HP+ - everything seems to be going great. However when I try to print a webpage from my phone, nothing happens. I can print other things from my phone (from the notes app for example) but nothing from the web. The correct window opens with the correct printer selected but after I click print, there is just silence and nothing happens.

@Mashaostr, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with printing web pages specifically from your phone, even though everything seems to be set up correctly for other apps like Notes. Here are a few things you can try to resolve the issue:
Check for Browser Permissions
Ensure that your browser has permission to access the printer. Sometimes, apps like Chrome or Safari require permission to use the connected printer.
In the browser's settings, check if there are any printer-related permissions you need to enable.
Clear Cache and Cookies in Your Browser
Browsers sometimes have issues printing pages if there's a lot of cached data. Try clearing the cache and cookies in your mobile browser and see if that helps.
For Safari or Chrome, you can do this in the settings under “Privacy” or "History."
Check Printer Connection
Double-check that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your phone. If it's not, that might be causing the print jobs to not go through.
Ensure that the printer is awake and not in an error state. Some HP printers have an eco-mode or sleep mode that might need to be manually woken up.
Try a Different Browser
If you're using Chrome, try Safari or vice versa. Sometimes browser-specific issues can interfere with printing.
Also, check if there's an update available for your browser, as printing issues can sometimes be resolved with newer versions.
Run HP Smart:
- Download and run the HP Smart. Follow the prompts to diagnose and fix common printing issues.
- Refer: Use Diagnose & Fix in HP Smart to repair common printing issues (Windows, macOS) | HP® Support
Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)
- Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
