Hi @lfsmith500,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Restart Your Printer, Router, and Computer:

  • Turn off your printer, unplug your router, and restart your computer.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds and then plug in the router and turn on your printer.

Check Your Printer’s Network Connection:

  • Make sure your printer is connected to the correct wireless network.
  • On the printer control panel, go to Setup > Network Setup or Wi-Fi Settings > Wireless Settings.
  • Select Wireless Setup Wizard, and follow the prompts to reconnect your printer to the network.

Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
  • The tool will detect and attempt to fix connectivity issues. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Check Wireless Network Settings:

  • Ensure your wireless router is functioning correctly and that your network is not experiencing any issues.
  • Make sure no other devices are blocking the signal between your printer and the router.

Check Printer Settings:

  • On the printer control panel, ensure that Wireless Direct is turned off.
  • Go to Setup > Network Setup > Wireless Settings and confirm that Wireless Direct is not enabled.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure your printer firmware is up to date.
  • Visit the HP Support website, enter your printer model, and check for any available firmware updates.

Assign a Static IP Address:

  • Sometimes assigning a static IP address to the printer can resolve connectivity issues.
  • On the printer control panel, go to Setup > Network Setup > Advanced Settings > IP Settings. Choose Manual and enter a static IP address based on your network's IP range.

Router Settings:

  • Ensure your router’s firmware is up to date.
  • Check the router settings and ensure it's not limiting the number of devices connected.

I hope this helps.
