HP DeskJet 2632
macOS 10.15 Catalina

Hi,
Since installing a new mesh Wi-Fi network in my home I am unable to get my HP DeskJet 2632 to connect to it. The mesh system is the tp-link system. All other devices connect without an issue.

I managed to print the network status page from the printer. The SSID is correct but the following statuses stood out to me:

  • Wireless On: PASS
  • Wireless Working: PASS
  • Signal Quality: Good
  • Connected: Not Run
  • Network Name (SSD) Found: PASS
  • Other networks detected matching your network name (SSD): Yes
  • Wireless Networks Detected: 16
  • Security: FAIL
  • IP Address: Not applicable
  • Configuration Source: Not applicable
  • Authentication Type: WPA2-PSK
  • Internet: Not available

@ChrisBBacon, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

The routers are probably not configured in bridge mode.  This likely has double NAT issue which means multiple routers are handing out IP addresses and causes a conflict. Bridge mode means the router acts as purely an access point and not a router. This can be done by your Internet service provider.

  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network.
  • This printer supports only 2.4GHz network. So, the PC should be on the 2.4GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
