Operating System: macOS 10.13 High Sierra

Our HP Laser Jet MFP Mi39we was working perfectly.  We had to reset the router, set up a new network (same router) but then the printer was offline. 

I reset the printer multiple times ( X + wifi button 5 second hold) and tried setting it up on the iPhone app and from my MacBook air to add as a new printer.  The error message I get during set up on both the iPhone app and 123. website, after I have entered the wifi password is: "The app was unable to complete printer setup. Make sure the network password is entered correctly ... make sure you are connected to a 2.4 GHz network."  What else can I try?

Do check with your network provider, the encryption type of your new network and whether it's 2.4 or 5 GHz.
