My HP Office Jet 6958 shows up as a saved printer on my Chromebook, but will not connect for wireless printing.  I had previously been printing wirelessly from a MacBook pro. Can someone help me solve this?

Hi@MarkD52652,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing issues with the HP OfficeJet 6958 All-In-One Printer.

I have a few recommendations

  • On the Chromebook, click the clock in the bottom right corner, and then click the Settings icon . Scroll to the bottom of the screen, and then click Advanced. Under Printing, click Printers > Add Printer. If your printer displays, select it, and then click Add.
  • If your printer can't connect to Wi-Fi, but your network is working properly, try turning the printer off and on again. Alternatively, you can try resetting your wireless network again.
  • Click on this link for HP printer setup (Chromebook) https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2059279-1992970-16

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
