Hi,

Please share a few more details so we can help you correctly:

  • Exact HP laptop/desktop model
  • Windows version
  • Are you using Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable?
  • Does your network appear in the Wi-Fi list?
  • Do other devices connect to the same router?
  • Do you see any error message?

In the meantime, please try these basic steps:

  1. Restart the computer and the router.
  2. Make sure Airplane mode is off and Wi-Fi is turned on.
  3. Run the Windows network troubleshooter:
Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters > Network and Internet

HP Wi-Fi troubleshooting guide:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1997137-1439082-16

  1. Open Device Manager:
    • Expand Network adapters
    • Check whether the Wi-Fi adapter appears
    • If it has an error, right-click it and choose Uninstall device
    • Restart the computer
  2. Install the correct wireless/LAN driver from HP for your exact model:
    https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/laptops
  3. Run HP Network Check / HP PC Hardware Diagnostics:
    https://support.hp.com/us-en/help/computer/internet-network-issues

If the Wi-Fi adapter is missing completely from Device Manager, the issue may be driver, BIOS, or wireless card related. If the adapter is visible but cannot connect only to one router, the issue may be router/security settings or a saved Wi-Fi profile problem.
