Laser Jet Pro 200 M251nw
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I set up a new Wifi network with new hardware (Rukus R610). My printer sees the wifi network but will not accept the passphrase. I have done a firmware update, but the M251nw is no longer supported by HP and the update was from 2015.

Records in the Rukus say invalid MIC in msg 2/4 of 4 way handshake    Info: Invalid Passphrase.

I printed a network summary for the printer and can locate the hardware address but cannot find a printer IP address.

I have also "restored defaults" in service menu.

I am able to print when I hook up a hardwired connection after going back to "previous wired connections.

What should I try to get the printer to accept the wifi passphrase?

Hi @gub1,

I'd like to help!

To assist better -

  1. What is the status of the wireless light on the printer, steady or blinking?
  2.  I would like to know, is your router set to work on 2.4 GHz network or 5 GHz network band?

  Keep me posted.
