I have a HP wireless printer which used to be connected to my Desktop computer with home wifi router. Now moved to a service apartment with WiFi provided, but couldn’t connect the printer to the WiFi using the HP Smart app on my iPad (I do not have a computer with me) as on the WiFi List I couldn’t locate the HP setup as said.

Hi @Rita4711,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're having trouble connecting your HP wireless printer to the WiFi network in your service apartment using the HP Smart app on your iPad. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.
- Ensure Printer Compatibility: Make sure that your HP printer model is compatible with the HP Smart app and supports wireless network connections.
- Printer Placement: Ensure that your printer is placed within range of the WiFi signal in your service apartment. Sometimes, moving the printer closer to the WiFi router can improve connectivity.
- WiFi Network Visibility: Check if the WiFi network provided by your service apartment is visible and accessible from your iPad. Go to your iPad's settings and see if you can find the WiFi network listed. If it's not showing up, there might be compatibility issues with the network or it might be hidden.
- Hidden Network: If the WiFi network is hidden, you'll need to manually add it to your iPad's WiFi settings. Look for an option to manually add a network and enter the network name (SSID) and password provided by your service apartment.
- Direct Connection: Some HP printers allow you to set up a direct wireless connection between the printer and your device without needing to connect to a WiFi network. Check your printer's manual or documentation to see if this is an option and how to set it up.
- Alternate Setup Method: If the HP Smart app isn't working, you can try setting up the printer using the printer's control panel (if available). Most HP printers have a touchscreen or LCD panel that allows you to navigate through setup options, including connecting to a WiFi network.
- Reset Printer Network Settings: If you've previously connected your printer to a different WiFi network, you may need to reset the printer's network settings to clear any existing configurations. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to reset the network settings.
By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and resolve the connectivity issue with your HP wireless printer in your service apartment.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
