I have been struggling today to update the Wifi Password for my P1102w printer. It worked fine before, but I needed to update the network password since we had a security issue with the old one.
I have:
- Downloaded and installed the latest printer driver (5.1 for Mac OS, Aug 2022)
- Reset the settings on the printer
- Re-entered the Network SSID
However, the only options I see under Authentication are:
- Open System (no authentication)
- WEP
There does not appear to be a place to enter a regular password. I don't understand why.
Support is telling me they no longer support this printer, and I should buy a new one. Thanks!

Well, I solved it with a little help from my friend.
See that section under Communication Mode? It needs to be set to "Infrastructure" to get the WPA option for security.
Sort of dumb that it defaults to Ad Hoc, but whatever. It works now.
