Hi,
My WiFi router changed. Need to update the WiFi settings for my 3630. I did a hard factory reset, also network reset and connect through WiFi direct. HPSmart is connecting to printer as well, but tells me "a custom password has been set for your printer enter the password to access the printer web interface". I cannot access the web interface at 192.168.223.1 as well directly as it asks me for a custom admin password.
PLEASE NOTE FACTORY RESET DOES NOT WORK. I am extremely disappointed and did not expect this from an HP product. It is not at all user friendly.
Please help me out with this.

Hello,
In order to palliate this incident, please restore network settings to default settings and reconfigure printer as follows.
- Press the Wireless button (
) and the Cancel button (
) from the printer control panel at the same time, and then hold them for three seconds.
- Launch the printer software installed on the desktop and click Connect a new printer.
- Follow these steps to set up your wireless connection when the HP Automatic Wireless Connection screen appears:
- Select Yes, send my wireless settings to the printer, and then click Next.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the software installation and wireless network setup for the printer.
Please use the HP DeskJet 3630 series Full Software and Drivers to install your printer.
If the issue continues, then try to install it over Wi-Fi by doing the following:
Press a series of buttons on the printer to reset the wireless settings to ensure a successful connection.
- Go to Devices and Printer to delete your printer icon.
- Make sure the printer is on.
- If the wireless indicator light is flashing, go to the next step to continue the software installation.
- Press and hold down the Power button (
).
- While holding down the power button, press the Start Black Copy button (
) two times, and then press the Cancel button (
) three times.
- Release the power button. The Wireless light next to the Wireless button should be flashing. Repeat these steps if the Wireless indicator does not blink.
- Proceed immediately to the next step to continue the software installation. You have approximately 20 minutes to complete the software setup using the HP Auto Wireless Connect feature.
I remain at your disposal in case of need.
Best regards,

Still does not work. Tried it going thru 192.168.223.1 as well, keeps asking for password and certificates are expired.
I guess time to go with Canon. Surprising that I have to throw away a printer just because I cannot put new network settings.

Thanks for your return,
The firmware must be updated first, else the reset will not be made.
In order to reset the printer, try the following solution:
- Turn off the printer, then turn it on.
- While applying power, press and hold Color Copy (
) and WiFi Direct (
) buttons.
Don't hesitate to contact us in case of need.

It says the firmware is up-to-date. I cannot even tick the line, its grayed out. I pressed POWER + COLOR COPY + WIFI DIRECT, display was flashing, nothing happened. Restarted the printer, still nothing. Please guide.
