I have purchased a new HP deskjet 2820e printer.
I have installed the colour and black ink cartridges. I haven't installed nothing else, nothing downloaded.
On the side of the printer, I can see a flashing blue light by the wireless icon on the side.
I am just confused and would require assistance. I do not think my laptop can find my printer.

@Drax3, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
It sounds like your HP DeskJet 2820e printer is in wireless setup mode, and the flashing blue light indicates that it’s waiting to be connected to your Wi-Fi network.
To get your laptop to find and connect to the printer, you'll need to complete the printer's wireless setup. Here’s what you can do:
Connect the printer to Wi-Fi:
You need to use either the printer’s control panel or the HP Smart app to complete the setup.
You may refer to this guide: HP printer setup (Wi-Fi network) | HP® Support
Add Printer on Your Laptop (Windows or Mac):
Once the printer is connected to Wi-Fi:
For Windows:
Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
Click Add a printer or scanner and wait for your printer to appear in the list.
Select your HP DeskJet 2820e and click Add device.
For Mac:
Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
Click the + button to add a printer.
Select your HP DeskJet 2820e from the list.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
