Hi,
i just bought a MFP 178 NW.
Am trying to connect to my home wifi but there is no wifi wizard.
The settings on page 60 of the manual says:
1 Select the (Menu) > Network > Wi-Fi > Wi-Fi Settings button on the control panel
After selecting Menu > Network > Wi-Fi, I only have the following options:
1. Wi-Fi Default 2. Wi-Fi Signal 3. Wi-Fi Direct 4. WPS 5. Wi-Fi On/Off 6. Clear Settings 7. Network Conf.
8. Protocol Mgr.
There is no other setting for me to search (wizard) to find existing wifi channels or SSIDs.
How can I find the Wifi Wizard? Thanks!

Hi @ranteo,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're unable to find the Wi-Fi wizard on your HP MFP 178 NW printer, you can try the following steps to connect it to a Wi-Fi network.
- Ensure that your printer is powered on and in a ready state.
- On your computer or mobile device, make sure you are connected to the same Wi-Fi network that you want to connect your printer to.
- On the printer's control panel, locate and press the "Wireless" or "Settings" button. This button might have an icon that resembles a wireless signal or a gear.
- Use the arrow keys on the printer's control panel to navigate through the menu options. Look for a "Network Setup" or "Wireless Setup" option and select it.
- Look for a "Wireless Setup Wizard" or similar option and select it. This wizard will guide you through the process of connecting your printer to a Wi-Fi network.
- The printer will start searching for available Wi-Fi networks. Once it displays a list of networks, select your desired network from the list.
- If your network is password-protected, enter the Wi-Fi password using the printer's control panel or an on-screen keyboard if available.
- After entering the password, select "Connect" or a similar option to establish the connection between your printer and the Wi-Fi network.
- Once the connection is established, the printer should display a confirmation message or an indicator that it is now connected to the Wi-Fi network.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
