Help! I have an Envy 6030 - always connected to InstantInk and worked just fine for years. In December I replaced the Windows 10 computer, to which it was connected with a Windows 11 computer ... I moved all applications, drivers etc etc from the Win 10 system, to the Win 11 system. Don't use the 6030 all that often, but when I did I got an additional information page telling me the printer IS connected to the correct wireless network (this was unchanged), but that it is NOT connected to the internet. I have tried everything ... in HP Smart the diagnosis tool has told me "diagnosis complete and no issues found", but I cannot get the printer to talk to HP Smart. Have reinstalled SMART, reinstalled the 6030 driver (appears to be the same thing!) ... I have now spent a day fighting this problem. There is no display panel on the 6030 which makes following some ChatGPT suggestions interesting. PLEASE HELP!

Hi @JoeT456,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thanks for reaching out, and I understand how frustrating this issue must be, especially when the printer was working perfectly with Instant Ink before your system upgrade.
Let’s walk through the most effective steps to get your HP ENVY 6030 reconnected and talking properly to HP Smart and Instant Ink, even though the printer has no display panel.
1. Forget the Printer in the HP Smart App
On your Windows 11 PC:
- Open HP Smart.
- Click your printer name > Printer Settings > Remove Printer.
- Completely uninstall HP Smart via Add/Remove Programs.
2. Reset Network Settings on the ENVY 6030
Even though it has no screen, the ENVY 6030 has a physical Network Reset button combo:
🕹️ Hold the Wireless button and Cancel button together for 5 seconds
This will reset the wireless network settings.
- The printer will restart.
- The Wi-Fi light should begin blinking blue (searching for a network).
3. Reinstall HP Smart & Set Up Again
- Download and install a fresh copy of HP Smart - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store.
- Open HP Smart and click "Set up a new printer".
- Make sure your PC is connected to the same Wi-Fi network that you want the printer on.
- HP Smart will find the printer (which is now in setup mode).
- Follow prompts to reconnect it to Wi-Fi.
📝 Tip: If it gets stuck, use your phone’s HP Smart app for the Wi-Fi setup and let your PC discover it after.
4. Check for Instant Ink Connectivity
Once setup is complete:
- HP Smart should show the printer online and connected to HP cloud services.
- Print a Network Configuration Report to verify:
- Press and hold the Information button (i) until all control panel buttons light up
- Then press Information + Cancel together.
Look for:
- Internet status: should say Connected
- Web Services: should be Enabled
If Web Services are off, go to HP Smart > Printer Settings > Enable Web Services.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi Vikram
Sadly my problem got worse! The Envy 6030 was definitely wifi connected to my modem router - I could see it as a connected device in the router management "Connected Devices" page and the blue wifi symbol on the printer was solid.. There's a little button on the back of the printer with a wifi symbol etched into it. I pushed that a couple of times. The printer will now not connect to the router via wifi. The only way I can see it via HP Smart - or use it - is to connect it with a USB cable. But that doesn't allow me to Remove Printer via HP Smart as you suggested! I have tried everything I can think of to get the printer wifi connected again - rebooted router and printer - obviously pressed that button again, held down the wireless button and cancel button together for 5 seconds etc etc etc. Just can't figure it out. The last sync with InstantInk was in December, when it was connected to the previous computer via wifi and USB.
