I have a Sansung s22 android phone. Recently got a new hp printer. When I try and print from my phone the old printer comes up. If I uninstall HP Smart, restart the phone and reinstall HP smart the new 8135 printer will come up and I can print. Couple hours later it's back to the old printer and I can't print again. Help!!!!!

Hi @Cindyloowho1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your Samsung S22 is defaulting to the old printer, even after reinstalling the HP Smart app. Here are a few steps to help resolve this issue.
Remove Old Printer from HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app on your phone.
- Go to the list of printers and select the old printer.
- Remove or delete the old printer from the list.
Set Default Printer:
- Make sure your new HP 8135 printer is set as the default printer in the HP Smart app.
- Open the app, select your new printer, and ensure it’s set as the default.
Clear Cache and Data:
- Go to Settings on your phone.
- Navigate to Apps or Application Manager.
- Find and select HP Smart.
- Tap Storage, then Clear Cache and Clear Data.
Check Printer Network Connection:
- Ensure that your new printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your phone.
- Check the printer’s network settings to confirm it’s properly connected.
Update HP Smart App:
- Ensure you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed.
- Go to the Google Play Store, search for HP Smart, and update if necessary.
Restart Devices:
- Restart your phone and printer to refresh their connections.
Re-add Printer in HP Smart App:
- After clearing cache and data, open the HP Smart app.
- Follow the steps to add your new printer again.
- Ensure it is detected and set as the active printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Still can't print from my phone or laptop. The printer is under my husband's account. He can share the account with my devices but HP will not let me delete my account and, as a result, it will not let my husband share my laptop and phone. I cannot get anyone to tell me how to delete my HP account. If this is not resolved soon, I will be selling this printer and getting another brand.
