I previously had my HP LaserJet m110w set up with my home wireless network and used the HP Smart app on iOS to set the printer up.
I switched off and disconnected the printer and then replaced my home network router meaning I had new WiFi network. When I switched the printer back on I could not set it up as a new printer using the HP Smart app. I followed instructions to reset the printer into WiFi pairing mode and the iOS app never found the printer. Same thing from a Mac. Eventually I connected the printer to a Windows PC using the USB cable and installed the HP Smart app from the Windows store. The Smart app allowed me to manage the printer and change the network. I needed the PIN to connect (despite being connected via USB and this was found on a label on the inside of the top cover).
I have posted this question and the answer because the previous post of a similar question had only one answer (which did not help me and seemed to be referring to a different model of printer) and it was locked so I could not update the answer.

Hi @X123BAD.,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query.
Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed experience with reconnecting your HP LaserJet M110w after changing your home network router. We’re glad to hear you were able to successfully set it up again using the HP Smart app on Windows via a USB connection and locating the printer’s PIN under the top cover.
Your step-by-step explanation, especially noting the difference in setup behaviour between iOS/macOS and Windows, as well as the PIN requirement, will be very helpful for other customers facing similar issues.
For future reference, when a wireless network changes, it’s often best to connect via USB or use the Wi-Fi Direct method to update the network settings, as older pairing instructions may vary slightly between printer models. We also recommend checking the HP Support site for the latest product-specific setup guide to ensure all platform instructions are up to date.
We appreciate your effort in contributing back to the community with a tested solution.
Take care and have an amazing day!
