I have this new printer, I want to sign up to apply for instant ink. Theres no ink in my printer right now. The printer is connected to wifi, as is my phone. On the HP app, it tells me to go onto my wifi settings on my phone, find HP and put in the password. I don't know what the password it. Where do I find the wifi direct password? I can't set up my printer or order ink without doing this and its driving me insane.

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.
Will suggest that you reset the Wireless network and try to use HP Smart to onboard and setup. Do you still have the setup inks since the printer is new?

No, I have no inks. It came from an online store but not a large retailer. I am thinking it must have been a refurbed one if it has no ink. I managed to connect the wifi now but it says I can't apply for instant ink as the printer is already registered to a different account. Not sure what to do now.

If it's a refurbished HP+ printer and it was claimed previously, then it cannot be claimed again.
