Hi @Edohlandt,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer is showing as offline even though it is turned on and ready to print, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot the problem.

  • Check the printer connection: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If the printer is connected via USB cable, make sure it is plugged in securely. If the printer is connected wirelessly, ensure that the printer and the computer are on the same network.
  • Restart the printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes before plugging it back in and turning it on again.
  • Check the printer status: Go to the "Devices and Printers" section on your computer and check the status of your printer. If it is shown as offline, right-click on the printer icon and select "Use Printer Online".
  • Restart the print spooler: Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard, type "services.msc" in the Run box, and hit Enter. Scroll down to the Print Spooler service, right-click on it, and select "Restart". This will restart the print spooler and may resolve the issue.
  • Update or reinstall printer drivers: If the printer drivers are outdated or corrupted, it may cause the printer to go offline. You can update or reinstall the printer drivers by going to the HP website and downloading the latest drivers.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
