I understand you are getting a "cartridge failure" message on your HP DeskJet Plus 4120 can be frustrating, but here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:
Check Cartridge Installation:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Open the printer and carefully remove the ink cartridges.
- Reinstall the cartridges, ensuring they click into place securely. Make sure you're using the correct cartridges for your printer model.
Clean the Contacts:
- Check the contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer for dirt or ink buildup.
- Use a lint-free cloth or a cotton swab lightly moistened with water to gently clean the contacts. Let them dry before reinstalling.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
Update Printer Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer
