@Jessica980317, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Wi-Fi network name!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you're looking to change your WiFi network name (SSID) due to a new router or modem, you generally need to access the router’s settings through a web interface. Here is a general guide to help you with the process:

Connect to the Router: Make sure your computer is connected to the router, either via a wired Ethernet connection or wirelessly.

Access the Router Settings:

  • Open a web browser.
  • Type the IP address of the router into the address bar. Common IP addresses for routers include 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1. You can find the specific IP address for your router in the manual or on a sticker on the router itself.

Log In: You’ll need to enter a username and password to access the router settings. This information is usually located on the router itself or in the manual. If you haven’t changed it, it may be a default such as admin for both username and password.

Find Wireless Settings:

  • Navigate to the section called "Wireless Settings" or "WiFi Settings".
  • Here, you should see the option to change the SSID (network name).

Change the Network Name:

  • Enter your desired new network name in the SSID field.
  • Save or apply the changes.

Reconnect Devices: After changing the network name, reconnect your devices using the new network name.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
