Hi @Lynda207,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
No worries at all — you're not alone! When you change broadband providers, your printer no longer recognises the new Wi-Fi network, so it has to be reconnected. Here's a simple, step-by-step guide to get your HP printer back online wirelessly.
Step-by-Step: Reconnect HP Printer to New Wi-Fi
🖨️ If Your Printer Has a Touchscreen
- Turn on the printer and place it near your Wi-Fi router.
- On the printer screen, go to:
- Settings > Network Setup > Restore Network Settings
- Then go to:
- Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard
- Select your new Wi-Fi network from the list.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password.
- Wait for the printer to connect and print a confirmation page.
If Your Printer Has No Screen (Buttons Only)
Use the HP Smart App:
- Reset Wi-Fi Setup Mode:
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi and Cancel buttons together for 5 seconds.
- Wait until the Wi-Fi light blinks — this means it’s in setup mode.
- Install HP Smart App:
- Add Your Printer:
- Open the app and tap “+” to add a new printer.
- Follow the on-screen steps to connect to your new Wi-Fi.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
