Hi @Lynda207,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

No worries at all — you're not alone! When you change broadband providers, your printer no longer recognises the new Wi-Fi network, so it has to be reconnected. Here's a simple, step-by-step guide to get your HP printer back online wirelessly.

Step-by-Step: Reconnect HP Printer to New Wi-Fi

🖨️ If Your Printer Has a Touchscreen

  1. Turn on the printer and place it near your Wi-Fi router.
  2. On the printer screen, go to:
    • Settings > Network Setup > Restore Network Settings
  3. Then go to:
    • Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard
  4. Select your new Wi-Fi network from the list.
  5. Enter your Wi-Fi password.
  6. Wait for the printer to connect and print a confirmation page.

If Your Printer Has No Screen (Buttons Only)

Use the HP Smart App:

  1. Reset Wi-Fi Setup Mode:
    • Press and hold the Wi-Fi and Cancel buttons together for 5 seconds.
    • Wait until the Wi-Fi light blinks — this means it’s in setup mode.
  2. Install HP Smart App:
  3. Add Your Printer:
    • Open the app and tap “+” to add a new printer.
    • Follow the on-screen steps to connect to your new Wi-Fi.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
