Hi @DT609,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
When you change your Wi-Fi router, your printer needs to be reconnected to the new network. Follow these steps:
Step 1: Restore Network Settings on the Printer
- On the printer control panel, go to Wireless or Network Settings.
- Select Restore Network Settings or Restore Defaults.
- Confirm the reset. This will clear the old Wi-Fi settings.
Step 2: Reconnect Using HP Smart App
- Download or open the HP Smart app on your phone or computer.
- Make sure your device is connected to the new Wi-Fi network.
- Open the app and tap “+” to add a new printer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your new Wi-Fi.
If the printer is not found, make sure it is in Wi-Fi setup mode (usually active for 2 hours after reset).
Step 3: Use the Printer’s Control Panel (if available)
If your printer has a touchscreen:
- Tap Wireless > Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard.
- Select your new Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
