Hi @DT609,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

When you change your Wi-Fi router, your printer needs to be reconnected to the new network. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Restore Network Settings on the Printer

  1. On the printer control panel, go to Wireless or Network Settings.
  2. Select Restore Network Settings or Restore Defaults.
  3. Confirm the reset. This will clear the old Wi-Fi settings.

Step 2: Reconnect Using HP Smart App

  1. Download or open the HP Smart app on your phone or computer.
  2. Make sure your device is connected to the new Wi-Fi network.
  3. Open the app and tap “+” to add a new printer.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your new Wi-Fi.

If the printer is not found, make sure it is in Wi-Fi setup mode (usually active for 2 hours after reset).

Step 3: Use the Printer’s Control Panel (if available)

If your printer has a touchscreen:

  1. Tap Wireless > Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard.
  2. Select your new Wi-Fi network and enter the password.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
