Hi @Parky35,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Yes, the HP DeskJet 2855e can connect wirelessly to a Chromebook. Here’s how you can set it up:

1. Ensure Printer and Chromebook are on the Same Network

  • Wi-Fi Connection: Make sure both your HP DeskJet 2855e and your Chromebook are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

2. Set Up the Printer

  • Power On: Ensure the HP DeskJet 2855e is turned on.
  • Connect to Wi-Fi: If you haven’t set up Wi-Fi on the printer yet, use the printer's control panel to connect it to your Wi-Fi network. Refer to the printer’s manual or follow these general steps:
    • On the printer’s control panel, navigate to Wireless or Settings.
    • Choose Wireless Setup Wizard or a similar option.
    • Select your network from the list and enter the Wi-Fi password.

3. Add the Printer to Your Chromebook

  • Open Settings: Click on the clock in the lower-right corner of the Chromebook screen, then click on the gear icon to open Settings.
  • Access Printers: In the Settings menu, scroll down to Advanced and then select Printing > Printers.
  • Add Printer: Click on Add Printer. Your Chromebook should automatically search for available printers on the network.
  • Select Your Printer: Find and select your HP DeskJet 2855e from the list of available printers.
  • Complete Setup: Click Add to finish adding the printer. Your Chromebook may automatically install the necessary drivers.

4. Print from Your Chromebook

  • Print a Document: Open the document or image you want to print.
  • Access Print Options: Click the File menu and select Print, or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + P.
  • Choose Printer: Make sure your HP DeskJet 2855e is selected as the printer.
  • Adjust Settings: Set your print preferences if needed, then click Print.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
