Chromebook won’t print to Envy Photo 7155

I bought this printer with the express intent of using it with a newly purchased Chromebook. The Chromebook sees the printer on the network, but displays the message “Can’t connect to printer”. Is there something I can do or should I return the printer and sell the Chromebook?
