HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-in-One Printer
macOS 12.0 Monterey

The time on my printer keeps changing after I shut it down using the automatic turn off/on schedule.  This worked on my previous printer which had to be exchanged for this one that is not keeping the time

Hi @smuget,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the clock or time on your HP9015e keeps changing after restarting, it's likely that the internal battery that powers the real-time clock has run out of charge or is malfunctioning. This can cause the clock to lose time or reset to a default time each time the computer is restarted.

To resolve this issue, you can try replacing the internal battery of the HP9015e. Here are the steps to do so.

  1. Turn off your HP9015e and disconnect it from the power source.
  2. Locate the internal battery on your HP9015e. It is usually a small, round battery located on the motherboard.
  3. Carefully remove the old battery from its holder using a small screwdriver or other tool.
  4. Insert the new battery into the holder with the correct polarity, usually positive (+) side up.
  5. Reconnect the power supply to your HP9015e and turn it on.
  6. Reset the time and date in your computer's operating system.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
