Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

Unable to print today. Reconnected the printer to the router twice. Downloaded and tried to reinstall the printer drivers on my computer, but install failed. Tried to delete and re-add the printer, but my Pin is being rejected, maybe because my Windows 11 computer is no longer seeing the printer?

Hi @dreamart,

I understand your HP OfficeJet 8010 series printer is no longer being detected by your Windows 11 computer, even though both are connected to the same router. The “Driver unavailable” and PIN rejection issues usually indicate a driver mismatch or a network discovery problem. Let’s go through HP‑exclusive troubleshooting steps to get you reconnected:

Restart devices

Restart your computer or mobile device, printer, and router to clear any error states.

Disconnect your computer or mobile device from the network name (SSID), and then reconnect it to the same network name your printer is connected to.

If the printer is available and has a ready status, the issue is resolved. You do not need to continue troubleshooting.

Press the Power button to turn off the printer. If the printer does not turn off, disconnect the power cord from the printer and from the power source.

Turn off the computer or mobile device that the printer was set up with.

Restart the router.

Reconnect the power cord to the printer and to a wall outlet.

Note:

HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Turn on the computer or mobile device.

Check the connection to make sure the same network is used by the printer and the device.

Computer or mobile device: Open the list of available networks and make sure it is connected to the correct network.

Printer: Check the Wireless light on the control panel. If it is solid blue the printer is connected.

Restore Wi-Fi setup mode on the printer

Many HP printers have a Wi-Fi setup mode that helps the HP software connect your printer to a network. Restore Wi-Fi setup mode if the printer is not found during software setup or when the wireless connection is lost.

Most printers with a touchscreen display or menu: Open the Wireless or Setup menu, select Network setup or Settings, and then select Restore Network Settings.

Most printers without a touchscreen display or menu: Go to Restore Wi-Fi setup mode on your HP printer for steps using the buttons on your printer.

Within two hours, return to the app or software to find and add your printer and complete the setup.

Thank you for the detailed reply. I will save the email for future reference.

After 3-4 hours of trying everything possible, my fourth attempt to re-add the printer after deleting it showed the printer as being there without asking for a PIN and rejecting it.  And the printer was printing  again like the day before. And it is still working today.
