To connect an HP LaserJet Pro MFP M29w printer to an HP Chromebook x350, follow these steps:

Prerequisites

  • Ensure that both the printer and Chromebook are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Make sure the printer is turned on.

Steps to Connect:

Enable Wi-Fi on the Printer:

  • On your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M29w, press the Wireless button on the control panel to turn on the Wi-Fi. A solid light indicates that a wireless connection is established.

Connect the Printer to Wi-Fi:

  • Press the Wireless button and follow the steps on the printer display to select and connect to your Wi-Fi network.

Set Up the Printer from your Chromebook:

  • On your HP Chromebook x350, open the Chrome browser.
  • Click on the time in the lower-right corner and select Settings.
  • Scroll down and find Advanced Settings.
  • Under Printing, click Printers and then select Add Printer.
  • Your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M29w should appear in the list of available printers. Select your printer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

Printing a Test Page:

Print a Configuration Report:

  • Turn on the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M29w printer.
  • On the printer control panel, press and hold the Start Copy button until the Ready light blinks, then release it. The Configuration Report and Network Summary will print.

Print from Chromebook:

  • Open a document or webpage, and press Ctrl + P to open the print menu.
  • Select your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M29w from the list of printers and click Print.
