I have no idea how to connect my printer to my wifi network. Even when I search for the printer to setup it doesn't recognize it probably because it's not connected to wifi. I'm about to throw this thing out the window. Please help

Hi @Ryan288,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
No worries, I can help you connect your HP ENVY 6052 printer to your WiFi network! Here’s a step-by-step guide to do that:
Step-by-step Guide to Connect HP ENVY 6052 to WiFi
Step 1: Prepare for Installation
- Check Printer Hardware: Make sure your printer is turned on and in a ready state. Have your WiFi network name (SSID) and password handy.
- Position Printer: Place the printer within the range of your WiFi router.
Step 2: Use the HP Smart App
The easiest method to connect your printer to WiFi is by using the HP Smart app, which will guide you through the setup process.
Download and Install HP Smart App:
- For smartphones or tablets: Download the HP Smart app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- For Windows/Mac: Download from the HP website or your respective app store.
Open HP Smart and Create or Sign In to Your HP Account:
- Follow the on-screen instructions to create or log into your HP account, which is necessary for printer management.
Add Your Printer:
- Ensure your mobile device or computer is connected to the WiFi network you want your printer connected to.
- Select ‘Add Printer’ or a plus sign icon in the HP Smart app.
- The app should search for printers connected to the network or in setup mode. If your printer appears, select it and follow the on-screen instructions to connect it to your WiFi network.
- If the printer doesn’t appear, ensure it's in setup mode, which might involve pressing a WiFi button on the printer until a light blinks.
Step 3: Connect Printer Manually (if needed)
If the app doesn't find your printer, you might need to connect it manually:
- Use Printer’s Built-in WiFi Setup:
- On your printer, find the Wireless settings menu. You might need to consult your printer’s manual for specific directions on accessing this menu.
- Select the option for Wireless Setup Wizard or similar. This will start searching for available networks.
- Select your WiFi network from the list and enter the password when prompted.
Step 4: Confirm Connection
- Once connected, the wireless light on the printer should become steady.
- You can print a test page or check the status in the HP Smart app to ensure it is correctly connected.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Restart Printer and Router: If you're having trouble, restart both your printer and your WiFi router. This can resolve many common connection issues.
- Check WiFi Signal: Ensure the printer is not too far from the router.
- Network Congestion: Sometimes, too many devices on the same network can cause issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
