Hi @POZURAMA ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are trying to connect your HP Smart Tank 5101 printer to your computer and get it back online. Here are some troubleshooting steps to try. Follow each step closely, and let me know if any part of it doesn’t work so we can go from there.
Step 1: Uninstall and Reinstall HP Smart App
- Uninstall the HP Smart app from your computer by going to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps, finding HP Smart, and selecting Uninstall.
- After the app is removed, restart your computer.
- Download and reinstall HP Smart. HP printer setup (HP Smart app)
Step 2: Set Up the Printer in HP Smart
- Open HP Smart and log in to your HP account (if prompted).
- Click Add Printer and make sure your printer is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer. If you’re unsure about the Wi-Fi setup, use the Wi-Fi Setup Wizard on your printer:
- From the printer’s control panel, go to Settings > Network Setup > Wireless Settings and select Wireless Setup Wizard.
- Once the printer appears in HP Smart, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
Step 3: Set the Printer as Default
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
- Select your HP Smart Tank 5101 from the list, and choose Set as default.
Step 4: Verify Printer Status
- In Printers & scanners, select your printer, then click Open print queue.
- Under the Printer menu, ensure Use Printer Offline is unchecked. If checked, click it to disable this mode.
Step 5: Restart Printer and Computer
- Restart both your printer and computer to refresh the connection.
- Once both have rebooted, open HP Smart and try printing a test page.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
