@TommyGunz187, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
The issue with the "E" displayed next to the number of copies and the orange light blinking next to the ink indicates that there may be a problem with the ink cartridges or another error with the printer. Below are some troubleshooting steps you can take to resolve these issues:
Step 1: Check the Ink Cartridges
- Open the printer's ink access door.
- Wait for the ink carriage to stop moving.
- Check if the ink cartridges are properly seated. If they are not, remove and reinstall them:
- Gently push down on the cartridge to release it.
- Pull the cartridge towards you to remove it.
- Reinsert the cartridge and push it until it clicks into place.
- Close the ink access door and check if the "E" and the orange light persist.
Step 2: Reset the Printer
- Turn off the printer by pressing the power button.
- Unplug the power cord from the printer and wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer and turn it on.
- Check if the error is resolved.
Step 3: Load Paper Correctly
- Ensure that the input tray is loaded with paper and that the paper width guides are correctly adjusted.
- Make sure the paper is not jammed and is loaded correctly.
Step 4: Connect the Printer Wirelessly
- Make sure the printer is within range of your wireless router.
- Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer for a few seconds until the wireless light begins to blink. This initiates Wireless Protected Setup (WPS) mode.
- Press the WPS button on your router within two minutes.
- Wait for the wireless light on the printer to stop blinking and remain solid, indicating a successful connection.
