Common problems for Connectivity Issues

My Printer is the HP Deskjet2755e and it says my Printer is ready and connected on the HP app but when I send print jobs nothing ever prints. I get a message after clicking share and print that says “gather printer information/datails…” and then the message goes away and my selected printer thats I’ve chosen disappears as a print choice. It’s very odd.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue where the HP DeskJet 2755e indicates that it is ready and connected but fails to print:

Check Printer Connection:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your network. You can try reconnecting the printer to the network by following the wireless setup process.

Update Printer Software:

  • Make sure that you have the latest version of the HP Smart App and printer drivers installed on your device. You can visit HP's official website to download and install the latest drivers for your HP DeskJet 2755e.

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off your printer, router, and device (computer or smartphone) for a few minutes. Turn them back on to reset the network and printer connection.

Remove and Re-add Printer:

  • In the HP Smart App or on your device, remove the HP DeskJet 2755e from the list of printers and then add it again. This can refresh the connection and resolve any communication issues.

Verify Printer Status:

  • Check the printer's status directly from the HP Smart App. Verify if there are any specific error messages or alerts that need attention.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Sometimes, updating the printer's firmware can resolve connectivity issues. Look for firmware updates through the HP Smart App.

Print Directly from HP Smart App:

  • Try sending a print job directly through the HP Smart App to see if it processes the request successfully.

Check Network Settings:

  • Ensure that the printer and computer are connected to the same network. Network issues, such as connectivity with different networks (e.g., mobile vs. home network), can cause printing problems.
