Well....

first of all, sorry for my English, I would have preferred  the German Forum, but he is closed, so here is my problem...

I'm trying to connect this old thing to WiFi 😪

After a lot of trying and failure messages, I finally succeeded to come forwards using an USB cable.

Now I got the following Message: (hope you can translate it ? 🙄)

but got stuck with all my efforts (including shutting down my antivir) to continue connecting .  😫

My actual display:

In my WiFi list I can see this:

probably through the USB connection ?

HOPE someone can help me 🤔🙄🙂

Have you tried printing using the USB connection and check if that works?

The error is about a security firewall on the computer. it could be the Windows firewall or the anti-virus that you have installed.

I also see that the wireless network you are using is not split into 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. This printer would work on a 2.4Ghz network.

If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.

Let me know how this goes.

@compistress Your English seems to be just fine, that said, you're right about converting USB to wireless, as that's the step I have for you, here's everything you need to know and do, to resolve this issue:

If you initially set up your printer with a USB cable connection to the computer using the full feature HP driver or the HP Smart app, you can convert to a wireless network connection at any time.

FOR DETAILS & FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS, USE THIS LINK: CLICK HERE & SELECT THE OS IN USE WITH YOUR PRINTER

(By the end of this article all the issues should be resolved)

Well, as I feared....

I started the procedure, it seem to work but then came this massage again:

I deactivated my AntiVir program and repeated, but it got stuck again 😭
