Hi @DavidRock,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your ENVY 4512 All-In-One Printer Connecting a new device to a printer asking for the Password Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
To connect your iPad to your HP ENVY 4512 All-In-One Printer, you typically need to connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network. The password it's asking for is likely the Wi-Fi password.
- If you haven't changed the default Wi-Fi password of your printer, you can find it usually on a sticker at the back or bottom of your printer. It's usually labeled as "Network Key" or "Password."
- If you have changed the password and forgotten it, you may need to reset the printer's network settings to the factory defaults. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to do this. After resetting the network settings, you can set up the printer again and use the default password to connect to your iPad.
- Once you have the correct Wi-Fi password, you can go to the Wi-Fi settings on your iPad, select your home network, and enter the password when prompted. After both your printer and iPad are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, you should be able to print from your iPad to your HP ENVY 4512 printer.
