Hi @marjest50
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you've changed your Wi-Fi network and you're unable to connect your HP Laser 6022e printer to the new Wi-Fi, you'll need to update the printer's Wi-Fi settings so it can connect to the new network. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you reconnect your printer to your new Wi-Fi network, and then connect your iPhone to the printer.
Step 1: Reset the Printer’s Network Settings
If your printer is still connected to the old Wi-Fi network, you'll need to reset its network settings to allow it to connect to the new network.
- Turn on the printer.
- Press the Wireless button (the one with the wireless signal icon, usually located on the printer’s control panel).
- Hold the Wireless button for about 5-10 seconds until the wireless light starts flashing, or a message shows on the display saying it’s in wireless setup mode. This will reset the printer's wireless settings.
Alternatively, you can reset the network settings via the printer's menu:
- On the printer’s display screen (if it has one), navigate to Settings > Network or Wi-Fi Settings, and look for an option like Restore Network Defaults or Reset Network Settings.
Step 2: Connect the Printer to the New Wi-Fi
Once the printer has been reset, you will need to connect it to your new Wi-Fi network:
Method 1: Using the HP Smart App
The easiest way to connect your HP printer to a new Wi-Fi network is through the HP Smart App (available on your iPhone).
- Download the HP Smart app on your iPhone from the App Store if you don’t already have it.
- Open the HP Smart app and ensure your iPhone is connected to the new Wi-Fi network.
- In the HP Smart app, tap on the “+” (plus) sign or Add Printer option.
- The app should automatically detect your printer (make sure the printer is turned on and in wireless setup mode).
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to the new Wi-Fi network.
The app will guide you through selecting the new network and entering the Wi-Fi password.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
