Hi @Mammaevans11888,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you want to connect your printer and laptop to the same network so they can communicate. Let’s go through a few steps to set up the printer on your Wi-Fi.

Turn on the printer and make sure it’s ready
– Ensure the printer is powered on and shows a ready status.
– Check that any previous network connections are cleared if needed.

Access the printer’s Wireless Setup
– On the printer’s control panel, go to SetupNetworkWireless Setup Wizard.
– The printer will search for available Wi-Fi networks.

Select your Wi-Fi network
– From the list, choose the same Wi-Fi network your laptop is using.
– Enter the Wi-Fi password carefully and confirm.

Confirm the connection
– After the printer connects, a message or blue Wi-Fi light should appear on the printer.
– Print a Network Configuration Page to verify it has a valid IP address on the same network as your laptop.

Connect the laptop to the same network
– On your laptop, make sure Wi-Fi is turned on and connected to the same network you selected on the printer.
– Both devices must be on the same band (2.4 GHz is recommended if your printer doesn’t support 5 GHz).

Add the printer to your laptop
– On Windows: SettingsBluetooth & DevicesPrinters & ScannersAdd Printer.
– On Mac: System PreferencesPrinters & Scanners+ → select your printer.

Test printing
– Print a test page from your laptop to confirm both devices are communicating over the same network.

I hope this helps.
