Hi @Crobb70,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check Docking Station Power Connection: Ensure that the docking station is connected to AC power, as some functions may not operate correctly without it.
- Connect the power cord to the docking station and to an electrical outlet.
Verify Network Connection: If both the WLAN and LAN are connected, it may cause connectivity issues.
- Disable the WLAN connection: On Windows 10, right-click Start, select Network Connections, right-click Wi-Fi, and click Disable.
- Move the pointer down from the upper-right corner of the screen, select Settings, and select Change PC settings.
- Select Wireless and turn off your wireless device.
- Select Start, Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, then Windows Mobility Center. Click Turn wireless off.
- Alternatively, click the Show hidden icons arrow in the notification area and click the HP Connection Manager icon. In the HP Connection Manager window, click the WLAN power icon to turn it off.
Correct Device Connection: Ensure that the printer cable is connected correctly and not causing a conflict with other connections.
- Disconnect the USB cable from the computer, and then reconnect it.
Manage USB Port Compliance: Verify the external USB device is compliant with the docking station's power specifications.
- If a port is disabled, disconnect the device that caused the issue.
- Unplug the docking station’s power cord and reconnect it.
Update Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest drivers for your docking station and network adapter.
- Go to HP Support and download the latest drivers for your docking station model.
Verify Printer Settings: Configure your printer settings to ensure the connection does not interfere with the network.
- Refer to the printer’s user guide for specific configurations related to network settings.
I hope this helps.
