I have an HP OfficeJet 3833 Wi-if printer. I used to have it connected to my work laptop but got a new laptop so trying to set it up on the new one.
The printer does not show in the list of available printers (have my VPN turned off). In set up I have tried to connect it through both the Bluetooth and other devices, as well as printers and scanners. I have also searched for it through search for “universal printers” and “the printer that I want wasn’t listed” link using the printer’s IP address. But HP doesn’t show up in list of manufacturers. Also tried setting it up through Wireless set-up wizard on the printer itself, but that just set it up to my home computer again. I’m out of options...Any suggestions?

@CB1968, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I understand you are not able to print from your new computer.
- Make sure the printer and the computer are connected to the same wireless network. Either 2.4 or 5GHz network.
- This printer supports only 2.4GHz network. So, the PC should be on the 2.4GHz network.
- If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.
- Use the guided troubleshooter Troubleshooting | Wireless Printing Center for instruction to isolate and resolve the issue.
