HP ENVY 6455e All-in-One Printer

I am in a new place and can't connect my wireless HP envy 6455e to my new wifi.  It says offline in the HP app.  I do not see how to remove it and reinstall.

Hi @Regina_555,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printer's connectivity!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Reset Network Settings on the Printer

  1. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button (📶) and Cancel button () together for 5 seconds
  2. The printer will restart and reset its network settings

Reconnect Printer to New Wi-Fi

Using HP Smart App (Recommended)

  1. Download the HP Smart app (if not installed)
  2. Open the HP Smart app and click Add Printer
  3. Follow on-screen steps to connect the printer to your new Wi-Fi

Alternative: WPS (If Supported by Router)

  1. Press the WPS button on your Wi-Fi router
  2. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button (📶) on the printer for 5 seconds
  3. Wait for the printer to connect (solid blue light means it's connected)

Remove & Reinstall Printer on HP Smart

If it still shows offline, remove and re-add the printer:

  1. Go to HP Smart > Click on Printer
  2. Select ‘Forget this Printer’ or ‘Remove’
  3. Click ‘Add a Printer’ and reconnect it

Set Printer as Default & Check Status

  • Windows: Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and set it as default
  • Mac: System Settings > Printers & Scanners > Add Printer

Restart Everything

  • Restart Wi-Fi router
  • Restart printer
  • Restart computer

Try these and let me know if you need more help! 😊
