Hello,
I have T-mobile Home internet and HP Printer. I contacted T-mobile home internet support and they had me set up a new 2.4g network with WPA version WPA/WPA2. This did not solve the connection issue. I was told that some printers are unable to distinguish between 2.4g and 5G hence the reason to create a new 2.4g network.
I’ve read other post (different HP printer series) and some are able to solve connection issues and some just ditch HP and go with another printer model.
Please advise. Thank you.

After you created the unique SSID for the 2.4 Ghz channel did you go through the wireless setup again and connect to the SSID? Many printer vendors are still using older 5Ghz chip sets that are not fully compatible with current 5Ghz routers but work fine with a 2.4Ghz and that would be the reason that your provider suggested that.
Refer to this article on setting the printer on setup mode for wireless again if you need to connect to the new 2.4 channel https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printers-Knowledge-Base/Wi-Fi-connection-is-lost-after-router-or-netwo...

And to confirm, you used a unique SSID for the 2.4Ghz channel? Did you clear all the settings to ensure the printer is still not trying to connect to the 5Ghz signal?
