Hi @Kisha91,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're encountering a session timeout issue while attempting to reconnect your HP printer to your device. This message typically occurs during the setup or login process, especially when connecting to HP Smart or a network.

Here are some steps you can try to resolve this.

Restart Your Printer and Device:

  • Turn off your printer and device (laptop, phone, etc.).
  • Unplug the printer from the power source for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Restart your device as well.

Reconnect the Printer to WiFi:

  • Make sure your printer is connected to your WiFi network. You may need to re-enter the WiFi credentials. To do this:
    • For printers with a touchscreen: Go to the printer's control panel > Network settings > Wireless setup wizard and follow the on-screen instructions.
    • For printers without a touchscreen: Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer until the light flashes, then press the WPS button on your router to connect the printer to WiFi.

Clear Browser or App Cache (if you're using HP Smart or a web interface):

  • If you are using the HP Smart app, try logging out and logging back in, or uninstall and reinstall the app.
  • If you are using a web browser to access the printer's setup or control panel, clear your browser cache and cookies.

Check Network and Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure that your router and printer firmware are up to date. You can usually update the printer firmware through the HP Smart app or directly from the printer's control panel.

Re-run the Printer Setup:

  • Go through the printer setup process again, either via HP Smart (for mobile and desktop devices) or manually through the printer’s control panel.
  • If you are setting up the printer on a new device, ensure you are using the correct credentials and that the network is stable.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
