Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

My Deskjet 4275e says, in the app, it's not connected. Hasn't been since April/26. But I know it is because I have been printing. I'm concerned that it isn't keeping track of my ink use for my subscription. I've done the unplug/restart but still have the message on the app.

Hi @Janet1990,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your concern. If you're able to print successfully, the printer is communicating at some level, but if the HP app has been showing the printer as not connected since April, it would be a good idea to refresh the connection and verify that the subscription status is syncing properly.

Please try the following:

  1. Sign out of the HP app.
  2. Uninstall the HP app from your device.
  3. Restart the computer or mobile device.
  4. Install the latest version of the HP app.
  5. Sign back in using the same HP account associated with your subscription.
  6. Check whether the printer appears online and whether the account information updates correctly.

While you're signed in, please also verify:

  • The printer is listed under your HP account.
  • The subscription status shows as Active.
  • The printer serial number displayed in the account matches your DeskJet 4275e.

If the printer still shows as not connected in the HP app after reinstalling and signing back in, please send us the following via private message only (not in a public post):

  • The email address registered with the subscription account, or
  • The printer serial number.

This will allow us to review the registration and connection status in more detail and help determine why the app is not updating even though the printer is still able to print.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
