I tried printing from my laptop this morning but was unable to do so. I have an HP Officejet Pro 8130. It failed to print. I unplugged the printer, waited 30 seconds and plugged it back in to see if that was the issue. It still wouldn't print. I reset my computer and it still wouldn't print even after that. I reset my modem and router. It still wouldn't print. I checked to make sure my printer and computer were on the same wifi network. They were. Despite that, I went through connecting the wifi on my printer to the same network. It's still not printing.
The most interesting thing I noticed is that even after I connected the wifi and it said "Connection Successful!", I immediately got an alert that said "Network Connectivity Unavailable" or some such thing. In the "Printers and Scanners" section on my laptop, my printer shows up with a green light. Every single indication I'm getting says it should be working. I don't know why it stopped working.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

1. "Are you able to print a Printer Status Report or Network Configuration Page directly from the printer's control panel?" Yes, and it shows everything as fine
2. Do you receive any error message on your Mac when attempting to print? Yes, it says printer is offline, even though in all other places it shows that it's online with a green circle indicating it should be able to print successfully.
3. Are other devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network able to print successfully? No
4. Does the HP app show the printer as Online and ready? N/a.
There was a recent power outage about a week ago that I think messed up the printer's connection. Removing the printer from my Mac and reinstalling it solved the issue. Thank you!

Hi @testedwheat
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
I appreciate the detailed information you've shared. I understand that your printer appears to be connected properly, yet it is not printing from your Mac. I'd be happy to help you work through this.
To better understand the situation, could you kindly confirm a few details?
- Are you able to print a Printer Status Report or Network Configuration Page directly from the printer's control panel?
- Do you receive any error message on your Mac when attempting to print?
- Are other devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network able to print successfully?
- Does the HP app show the printer as Online and ready?
In the meantime, kindly try the below steps and confirm :
- Remove and Re-add the Printer
- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners on your Mac.
- Remove the printer from the list.
- Restart the Mac.
- Add the printer again using the "+" option.
- Check the Print Queue
- Open Printers & Scanners.
- Select your printer and view the print queue.
- Clear any pending print jobs and try printing a test page.
- Print Using the HP App
- Kindly try printing from the HP app and check whether the behavior remains the same.
- Verify Network Connectivity
- Print a Network Configuration Report from the printer.
- Confirm the printer has a valid IP address.
- Enter the printer's IP address into a web browser on your Mac to see if the printer's Embedded Web Server opens.
- Check for Firmware Updates
- Through the HP app or the printer control panel, verify that the printer firmware is up to date.
- Run HP's Wireless Connectivity Troubleshooting
- Since the printer reports "Connection Successful" but then displays a network connectivity message, kindly follow the steps in this HP document dedicated to wireless connection troubleshooting:

Hi @testedwheat
Thank you for coming back and sharing the outcome.
I'm glad to hear that removing and re-adding the printer on your Mac resolved the issue and that your HP OfficeJet Pro 8130 is printing again. It also helps to know there was a power interruption prior to the issue, as that can occasionally affect how devices communicate on the network.
Your update will be valuable to other community members who may encounter a similar situation where the printer appears online but reports as offline when printing. Reinstalling the printer can refresh the communication settings and restore normal operation.
Thank you for choosing HP and for taking the time to share the solution. If you need assistance in the future, we're always happy to help.
Take care!
