Hi @Takereiko,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
When your HP app shows “Ready” but Windows says the printer is offline, it usually means the printer is connected to the network, but the PC isn’t communicating properly. Here’s how to fix it:
Step-by-Step Fix
1. Restart Printer and PC
- Power off your printer and unplug it for 30 seconds.
- Restart your computer.
- Turn the printer back on and wait until it shows Ready in the HP app.
2. Check Printer Status in Windows
- Press Windows + R, type control printers, and hit Enter.
- Find your printer, right-click it, and select See what’s printing.
- Click Printer > Use Printer Online if it’s checked as offline.
3. Set Printer as Default
- In the same window, right-click your printer and select Set as default printer.
4. Remove and Re-add Printer
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- Remove the printer.
- Open the HP app and re-add the printer using Wi-Fi setup.

5. Check Network
- Ensure your PC and printer are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- If using VPN, disconnect it temporarily.
6. Run HP Diagnose & Fix
- Open the HP app.
- Go to Printer Settings > Diagnose & Fix.
- Follow the prompts to repair connectivity.
