DESKJET 4100 will not maintain wifi connection. I must reboot every time I want to print something.

My new Deskjet 4100 will not maintain a Wi-Fi connection although the signal is extremely strong. I must reboot printer every time I want to print anything. I understand that this is a general problem with this model. Any suggestions to correct the problem.

In general, the printers in this series all support either 2.4GHz or 5GHz - not at the same time.

IF you are running a Dual Band Network,

Consider

Make sure the router is broadcasting on both frequencies.

Create a separate SSID named network for each frequency

Connect the printer the the SSID network you intend that it use.

Run the printer with its own IP address.

On the router, switch off "hopping"
