Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.
HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a P1606dn that has been reset as described in the manual, holding the two buttons pressed when powered on, holding the buttons until all lamps blink synchronously.

It is now set to "IP configured by Manual", address set to 0.0.0.0, status Not connected, No link.
Yes, I have tried resetting the printer again. The printer has the latest firmware available, dated 20201023

Obviously, there can not be a router connection with these settings.

The printer has no front panel, no WiFi, the only connection available is via USB. Printing via USB works.

I can not find any tool to re-configure the Network configuration, for example to enable DHCP or manually set the IP address via USB or other method.

I have tried all the utilities I can find on HP's support pages including (latest version of) Scan Doctor and ePrint.

Is there a solution for reconfiguring the network settings or is the Network connection in this printer Bricked?

Bumping this.

The network settings are bricked:

- have the latest firmware installed

- have done power/ factory reset cycle a number of times.

- The IP configured is set to MANUAL with IP 0.0.0.0, i.e there is no way to contact the printer except via USB.

- I can not find a way/method/software that can reconfigure the Nework information via USB.

This printer has no front panel, no wifi, bluetooth, only USB and a bricked network connector.

Basically a catch 22.

As far as I can see, this can only be solved via USB, software or a firmware update that unlocks the manual or allows setting the Network settings.
