Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 6970 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I printer is connecting to wi-Fi and is able to print wirelessly from my laptop, however, it doesn’t seem to connect to HP as it says it cannot read my ink levels or connect to instant Inc because for DNS or gateway error

Are you using Wi-fi direct for printing?  If so the printer may not be able to get out on the network. It may be stuck as it can only communicate with your laptop.

Let me know if you have a flex system (WiFi boosters or repeaters) as the setup is much more complicated.
