When I try to print from my connected laptop, the printer doesn't print right away. It will delay the printing until later for different times. What can I do to get this back on track?

@Mamaoso22, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP DeskJet 4155e All-in-One Printer is experiencing delayed printing from your laptop, here are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Check the Print Queue
- Go to your laptop’s Devices and Printers settings.
- Right-click on your HP DeskJet 4155e and select See what’s printing.
- If there are multiple jobs queued or stuck, clear them and try printing again.
Update Printer Drivers
- Outdated drivers can cause delays. Visit the HP Support page and download the latest drivers.
Restart Printer Spooler Service (Windows)
- Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
- Find Print Spooler, right-click it, and choose Restart.
Check Network Connection
- If you're using Wi-Fi, ensure the printer and laptop are on the same network.
- Try moving the printer closer to the router or using a USB connection to test if the delay persists.
Disable “Print Spooler” Delays
- In the printer properties, go to the Advanced tab and select Print directly to the printer instead of Spool print documents.
Use HP Smart Diagnostic Tools
- HP offers a diagnostic tool that can automatically detect and fix common printing issues.
Firmware Update
- Check for firmware updates via the HP Smart app or the printer’s embedded web server.
