Hi,

My DeskJet 2600 has very suddenly decided to stop connecting to my wifi.

The Orange 'I' button is flashing, and when I print off the instructions and carry them all out it still won't connect.

I've also tried deleting the printer from the app and then re-adding it, but still faced with the same 'printer not connected to the internet' issue.

I've turned printed off, router off, both off together.

I've turned wifi set up mode on on the printed, logged into it on my phone and mac, added it afresh, and still it won't connect.

Has anyone faced and overcome this problem?

Thanks,

James

Hi @JamesPrintery,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're experiencing connectivity issues with your HP DeskJet 2600 printer. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the Wi-Fi connection problem:

Verify Network Settings: Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is functioning properly and your printer is within range of the router. Check if other devices can connect to the Wi-Fi network.

Reset Printer Settings: Use the control panel on your printer to reset its network settings. This often involves holding the Wireless button and the Cancel button together until the power light blinks.

Re-establish Wi-Fi Setup Mode: Press the Wireless button on your printer to enable Wi-Fi setup mode, indicated by the blinking light on the printer.

Use HP Smart App: Make sure you are using the latest version of the HP Smart app. The app has a guided setup that might help re-establish the connection. Ensure your mobile device is connected to the same network that you want the printer to connect to.

Update Router Firmware: Sometimes, routers need firmware updates to work best with all connected devices, including printers.

Check Printer Firmware: Ensure your printer’s firmware is up-to-date. You can do this via the Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support or HP Smart app.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.
